Who is Build + Design Day for?
Whether you’re building, renovating, or simply seeking inspiration about interior design or architectural products, this event is tailor-made for you. Explore New Zealand’s largest design centre to select everything you need for your project.
Residium Design + Building Centre is Open 7 Days a week, but not all of our showrooms are usually mannged - this is a great chance to meet all the reps in one go.
It’s not just about looking; it’s about learning. Gain insights from the best in the business and see how their innovations can elevate your space. Homeowners, architects, interior designers, design students, developers, design enthusiasts are all welcome. We’ll have entertainment for the kids too!
How much is a ticket?
Tickets are free! Our design workshops, seminars, food and drink are also free. Getting a ticket ahead of time reduces wait times when you arrive, but you can also turn up without one.
What time does it start?
Doors open at 9am, and we close around 2pm. Drop in for the day or for half an hour - you’re sure to find the expertise you need. Check the What’s On page to find exact timings of our seminars and workshops.
Do you have parking?
Residium has free parking on Level 3 of our building at 165 The Strand. You can park in any park on Level 3 during the weekends. There is great on-street parking in the surrounding streets on Saturdays Also check out the Parkable app for other paid parking options. Residium is fully accessible for wheelchairs and push chairs.
Do you offer samples and brochures?
We sure do. The latest brochures, catalogues and product guides from every Exhibiting brand will be available to take home. Many of our brands offer complimentary samples, or can help you order samples online. Designers are encouraged to pick up the latest folios and specifier resources directly from reps on the day. We have a printed Event Guide which will also be available to download after the event.
Can I buy products on the day?
Our product experts can help you place orders or give you the right information to pass on to your fabricators on the day. Most of our products are made-to-order, but we can definitely help you seal the deal on Build + Design Day. Our pop-up shops will have Eftpos.
Do I have to have a ticket?
Walk ins are absolutely welcome, but anyone who pre-registers for a ticket will save time registering at the desk.
Will there be refreshments?
Absolutely! We’ll have an on-site barista slinging hot and cold beverages all day for free. Indulge in delicious ice cream from Duck Island’s Mobile Ice Cream Van, and fresh donuts from Butter Baby!
Can I bring my kids and my dog?
You sure can! We’ll have activities for the kids so you can browse in peace. Dogs are welcome at Residium too.
Can I exhibit at Build + Design Day?
We have 2 spaces free for pop-up showrooms on the day. Email hollie@residium.co.nz if you’re interested.
